Biography
Andrea Ranocchia (born 16 February 1988 in Assisi) is a former Italian footballer who played as a defender.
Having come through the Perugia youth system, he established himself as a central defender with Arezzo and Bari (winning the 2008-2009 Serie B). After moving to Genoa, he was acquired by Inter in January 2011, where he also captained the club. During his time at Inter, he also played on loan for Sampdoria and Hull City. He ended his playing career in September 2022, after a brief stint at Monza.
